School Travel

The Radcliffe School is committed to increasing the amount of students accessing the school through sustainable travel methods. This can be via public transport, walking, or cycling and as many of our students are from within our local community we want to work towards significantly reducing the amount of cars and car journeys that take place to get students to school. This is not only beneficial to the health and wellbeing of our community but also the environment, let alone a reduction in your fuel costs. To help deliver this commitment we have created a Travel Plan for the school which can be found here. This is the first of many iterations that will focus on a variety of projects and initiatives to promote sustainable travel.

The school is accessible via lots of sustainable transport routes including Bus and Train routes, as well as the street infrastructure and the Redway routes. Getaroundmk is a great website to find out more about the transport routes including Redway maps and timetables for public transport and this can be found here:

If you are eligible you can also apply for free home to school transport through:

Home to School Transport - Milton Keynes Council (milton-keynes.gov.uk)

There are specific dates that you will need to apply for the start of each Academic Year so please keep an eye on their website.

Students who live in Milton Keynes can also apply for an All in 1 MK card which offers discounted bus travel. Details of the scheme can be found here:

The benefits of leaving the car behind are well documented for both physical health and mental wellbeing. Milton Keynes has lots to offer from cycling, walking, to running, alongside skateboarding and e-scooting. The following links are just a few resources that can help you access a wide range of routes, activities and clubs that run across Milton Keynes.
